Save the sharks!

"SOMEBODY SAVE ME!"

There will be no serving of Sharksfins at our wedding dinner!!! I requested from Randy if we could substitute sharksfin soup with some other soup during the banquet....
(Background info: Randy loves his sharksfin soup... He would fondly remember his experiences with gigantic slabs of sharksfins at Rama Thai and how his mum would order a solo portion for him when he was younger...)
But he agreed!
Though there was no reduction in table pricing regardless no sharksfin/with sharksfin, I was glad that he accomodated with my request.... :)
By the way, we've not told our parents that we're not serving sharksfin yet.... :P

Some sneaky sneaks

We've really enjoyed our past few photo-taking sessions with my friend, Matt... As I was looking through the photos, we had sooooooo many prewtty pics...! Matt, u're a pro!

Like what he likes to say "No love, No magic"... This friend of mine has been inspiring me a whole lot as an amateur photographer and I've taken the leap to plunge into my own freelance photography (click to my website here). Thank God for wonderful friends like him! :D

We've finally finished all our photoshoots..!!!
As promised, as the time draws closer to our BIG day, i would post up more photos... So here's some sneaks that he took for us....

My sis was the photography assistant/stool carrier/bag+waterbottle bearer for the shoot that day. She saw a piece of the weed shaped like a heart on the ground. She inspired this shot with the funny looking weed. :P

Solo shots - Randy (like a hero smashing through the weeds.... teehee)

Solo shots - Kara (With the beautiful bouquet from Aunty June, the florist)

As a couple, we love to bicker... So here's a candid shot of me, seemingly bullying Randy...

BUT, wait till you see this!
That's all for session 1 of our shoot! Hope it was sneaky enough! We've got more lifestyles photos, but will save the surprise for the last!!!
Some updates on our planning:
We've got our dinner wedding cards printed!
I've already designed the Church wedding cards... Just waiting for me to get my lazy bum to the printer to print.... HEHEHE........
Next step:
Visit to Aunt June to discuss floral decors!!!!!!

Hand-sume Suit!

2 Sats ago we went back to the bridal shop to do another round of fitting as well as try out the makeup and how it matches with the outfit.. Actually it was more of an interacting session with the makeup artiste to let her know what kinda look I want to have as well as the hairstyles etc...
(photos taken by Yyn...)

Then it was Randy's turn to try on his stuff... He reminded me of a new movie: "Handsome Suit" - which is a comedy abt an ugly chap who puts on a "magic" suit and transforms into a handsome dude.

Randy's definitely not a ugly butt in need of a handsome suit. He just happened to look even more dashing in the white outfit.... Somebody bring on the white horse pls..... ;)

The nice part abt this bridal is their range of beautiful evening gowns... (as for the white gowns... ehhh hemmmmm..... i shall not comment...)
Well one thing I've learnt abt all the visits to the bridal so far, is that one's just gotta take it easy. U may haf the perfect dress in ur mind or the drop-dead celebrity hairdo blah blah blah.... But like the stylist tells me, many of the stuff I planned to do may not be feasible or suitable after all......
OH WELL.......... Just gotta keep telling myself it's just an event, relax, enjoy the process, don't bust my budget with too much frills & look forward to the honeymoon! Yay......

"Forensic" studies

Through my course of self-study, I learnt that photography isn't just used for capturing key events in life and taking beautiful photos of landscape and buildings. Photography is also used in the medical field for documenting a patient's recovery condition due to the details captured. For the CSI-addicts, you'll see photography quite commonly used for forensic studies.

Since I'm on doctor's embargo to nurse my fractured right foot (which is looking worse by now!), I'm not allowed to loiter ard "unsafe places" to snap-happy. My 2 mpx hp camera will aid me in documenting the medical improvement of my leg.

However, things might turn "forensic" if my leg starts looking worse off as the clock ticks... :(

Diagnosis: Able to see the bone structure on the left foot but right foot looks significantly FATTER due to the swelling (Had a hard time squeezing the swollen foot into the slipper!)

Zoom in view: A week of foot-in-cast and lack of movement has caused "water retention"
Zoom in further view: Blood clot at the area near the toes that caused foot to look bruised

View of foot from the side: Another bruised spot

Isn't my foot gross looking or what?!?!? Now time for dinner!!!! WAHAHAHA
