We started the year 2010 with a kampung, back-to-basic trip to Pulau Ubin on the 1st of Jan.... It has been YEARS ago since we last set foot on the laid back island..........
The no-frills "cruise" to the island...
Looking a little shady & old-fashioned..............
We've trekked past this observatory tower umpteen times before but have never attempted to climb up.
Trying to see who's more chicken, we took the climb to the top... Actually it was quite freaky climbing up...
The platform was shaky and there were more and more PRCs climbing up... (Max pax: 15)
The view while climbing down the unstable steps.... That "red dot" isn't Singapore but a PRC tour guide screaming at the other PRCs that the platform cannot take their weight and that they should stop climbing up.

There's just too many weirdo hanging out @ Pulau Ubin. I doubt I will go back there anytime soon........ :P
But I'm sure Mister Chan thinks likewise. He lurves the outback....
