Randy's HK birthday surprise - Day 3 & 4!

Gonna round up the last bit of our surprise HK trip and move onto other stuff…

Day 3 & 4, I was too tired from carrying Alpha (my uber heavy DSLR) anywhere… It's not like my extra weight isn't enough, so we decided to capture the snapshots using Miyuki instead…

Woke up at 11am for dim sum brunch at Choi Fook Royal Banquet Restaurant

Located at 1/F, Pioneer Centre, 750 Nathan Road, Prince Edward (MTR) it was a stone throw away from our hotel… We were too hungry to hunt too far away for brunch, besides we've been to Choi Fook during our previous trip before. So we headed there for a good munch.

Filling up our dim sum order chits while waiting for our queue no. to be called.

 Snow-capped Custard buns

 Scallop cheong fun
 Har Gow (Prawn Dumplings)
 Fried Radish Cake (left)
Steamed Pork Ribs in black bean sauce
 Siew Mai
A couple (Terry & Raymond) are getting married in the restaurant tonight. I wonder is Terry the bride or the groom?
After a heavy dim sum brunch, we headed to Sham Shui Po to check out the Xbox 360 Kinect.
Mr I-Can't-Wait-to-Try-a-New-Gadget was hoping to lug one home on the airplane. Eventually, after checking out the prices and doing the comparison, we found the price not much lower than Sg's… :P

If you've ever tried Dragonbeard Candy when u were a kid, you'll rem this. But the difference is there's a chilled version in HK. This is pretty heavenly, it tastes like SNOW!!! The texture of the "silkworm" melts in your mouth and the peanut filling is much finer for the HK version. Very yumz!
After an entire half-afternoon in Sham Shui Po, we headed to the more glitzy Causeway Bay to sink in the crazy crowd. Trust me, when i say CRAZY, I meant the streets were REALLY crazy packed with people…..

By 4pm, we were starving again!!! So we went straight for FRESHNESS BURGER!!! I had wanted to try it during our tokyo trip last yr, but got lost in the other sushi joints instead. So we checked into Freshness for a good hearty western chomp….

Sides: Potato skin with cheese, Potato wedges
Left: Kara's Freshness Burger (that's the exact name that it's called)
Right: Randy's Teriyaki Chicken Burger
I was so hungry I whopped up everything!!!!! *slurp
We headed back to the hotel for a recharge….
Then it was time to head back out to Mongkok to catch a movie!!! We caught the movie starring Ben Affleck - The Town… Pretty good show, i must say! By the way it's directed by Ben Affleck himself…

Day 4: Last day in HK to do last-minute shopping and grabbing the perishables to fly home!

Our final day brunch at:
Hong Lin Restaurant (HK Cafe)
No. 143-145 Tung Choi Street - along Goldfish Market

We've eaten here every single trip to HK…!!!
Randy's breakfast set: (Sunnysideup with Sausage & bun) + Instant noodles with Satay Beef + HK iced milk tea
Kara's breakfast set: Egg+Ham sandwich + Vermicilli with chicken & preserved veg + HK iced milk tea
Side dish to share: Soy sauce chicken wings!

Since we were at Goldfish Market (the place to buy pets and pet supplies), we decided to buy a new bed for Cookie! Crazy us, lugged a dog bed plus a timer-feeder up the plane back home!

Randy had to have his final dosage of Xu Liu Shan before we go…….

End of trip!!! I guess the next round we wld head to HK would be with Ashley and to HK disneyland!
