Joker!

I was at a friend's wedding recently. As the banquet came to an end, we made our way out through the door, queuing in the beeline to shake the family's hands and to offer hugs n well wishes.

In front of me in the queue was an old couple in their mid 50s who were nicely dressed up for the occasion. The wife spotted a Beehive Hairdo and was in a fitting cheongsum while her husband was dressed quite like a western Cowboy ready to Tango...

Beehive arrived in front of the Groom's dad first and she gave him a hug just like old friends do and moved on to shake the groom's hands.

Her husband, the Cowboy, who was next in line, said this while grabbing onto Groom dad's right hand,

"Hey you, MOLEST AH? U MOLEST MY WIFE AH?"

I almost burst out laughing! Though he was just poking fun at his old pal, the Groom's dad has a seriously embarrassed look on his face. He totally didn't expect that. HAHAHAHA...

Boo's & Yay's!

Sunday: 18th Oct

We decided to spend a couple-day-out in JB... The previous time we drove in, we were stuck along the road leading to the Malaysian checkpoint for 4 hours enroute home. Imagine taking 4 hours to drive a distance no further than 2 bus stops! Eventually we reached home after midnight, cursed, sweared and promised ourselves never to drive in ever again.

BOO BOO - This sunday, we buckered up enough courage to give the trip across the causeway - ONE LAST CHANCE. So happily we drove in to Johore Bahru's City Square Mall. The JB checkpoint is new now and totally looks like ours.... When we stamped our passport and drove out, we lost our orientation and couldn't quite figure out how to get to City Square! With some rough navigation and some swift turns, we busted the suspension in my left front tyre................ Ugggggghhhhhhhhhhh......... And the tyres started making loud scrapping noises whenever we negotiated a turn. It sounds like we've got a huge pebble stuck in the wheel. Oh man.....!!!! *SOBZ*

The YAY - The happy part was F.O.S. was having a purchase-RM150-&-pay-onlyRM100 promo. Naturally we bought "some" stuff. Hehe... We picked about 5 pcs of apparels each & Randy did a rough calculation (his fav thang to do... bleah...), we're paying S$8 per clothing! Cheap cheap! We rounded up the trip by having dinner @ Kim Gary. Yumz!

Monday :19th Oct

The YAY - Office was shutdown (in lieu for Sat's Deepavali), one relaxing day!

BOO BOO - Called the workshop but they're packed with repair jobs. Tmr's the earliest they could fix my tyre.... My head is jittery with thoughts that my car may explode while I sleep at night. :(

Tuesday: 20th Oct

The YAY -Took urgent leave to fix my car. Car fixed! Yay!

In the midst of all the series of the "Boos & Yays events", one YAY was I've finally got down to design our wedding album... I've been procrastinating and postponing it for a while (3 months to be exact). Our parents have been nagging to see the photos (they do not have a facebook account... haha)... Anyways, determination caught up on me and I've pleased to announce---- I've finished compiling all the best pics of the Wedding Day & have finished the layout! Just gotta print it onto a hard cover album.... Yippeee!!!!

My final CUPPA

This week, just when I was happily blogging abt our happy "bubble tea-ing", the girl at my fav bubble tea shop (I've decided to call her mei-mei) decided to let me in on a bad news....

Mei mei: 姐，要喝舍么?

Me: Green tea!

Mei-mei: (speaking in Mandarin) From next week onwards we won't be here anymore.


Me:  You mean you're moving to another outlet?


Mei-mei: No no... Boss says she's going to close down this shop to concentrate on the other outlets.


Me: (in disbelief) Huh? Really?! WHY..............................???!?!?!?!?!?!?!
*Bangs head on the floor & cries hysterically...*

Mei-mei: Yeah... Boss says there's a lack of traffic here....


Me: (continues crying.....)


Mei mei: 我会想念你的!!

Okay, I didn't really cry hysterically, but the part abt mei mei saying that she'll miss me is true... She sees me almost everyday and everytime that I'm there, I would chat with her about nonsensical stuff. I know her offday is on one particular Thurs every month. As she's from China and very foreign to Singapore, I would recommend places for her to go on her off-days...

Aww man... Often I think about moving to our new home in Sengkang next year and far away from my fav bubble tea shop opposite our current home. But it seems like my joy-killer came faster than expected!
Not only am I gonna miss the bubble tea, but I'll miss all the small chats I have with her!

Not forgetting silly riddles on the lids of the bubble tea cups... (Yyn was the first to be so bo-liao as to read the jokes there... She gave me the idea...)

Gonna miss u, mei mei... Will visit you @ the other outlet if I happen to be somewhere around.... :(

On a happier note though.. Today's thursday!! Thurs nites are TV nites!!! ANTM and Prj Runway... My fav bimbotic-brainless entertainment to unwind....

Another happy: October shld end off well @ work, I managed to get some surprise orders to help me meet my numbers... Crossing my fingers that all would end well this month!!! In such tough business climate, I'm thankful to God for His Providence that sees me through!

Bubble tea convert!

CONFESSION OF A BUBBLE-HOLIC

I'm a self-confessed bubble tea addict....

I have a cuppa a day...

I'm best friends with the bubble tea mei-mei...

I refuse to be persuaded that bubble tea is bad for me...


However, recently my dear friend here (who used to dissuade me from bubble-tea-ing):

has officially converted! He eats twice my portion, hence for every cup of bubble tea I have, he makes sure he has 2....

Evidence (taken last Sunday): 1 cuppa for me, 2 cuppa for the hubba....


Usually in the evenings when I come home from work, I wld pop by to buy from the "mei-mei" and I wld just buy Randy's fav champagne grape ice blended. But recently the mei-mei has been telling me that my hubby has beat me to it! He's been popping by more often & faster than me to buy! HAHAHAHAHA...

Last sunday, Bernice gave me some very nicely manicured fingers... So this week I declared a NO-HOUSEWORK week!! That's my entitlement!!!! :D :D

Return of the FSC (Friday Supper club)

We've not been meeting up for the Friday Supper Club for a while... since we've got some leftovers from the teenz zone leaders partay, the Friday Supper Club came over to our Cozy Bay for simple leftover grubs and BYOD - Bring-Your-Own-Desserts Partay!!

Sometimes I think I'm so "bo liao" & full of nonsense... I make storylines out of everything.... And I just realised that my previous entries are all abt hangouts @ Cozy Bay & it's getting boring... *yawnz* :P

Randy's not much of a blogger but he's definitely a blog moderator cum supervisor.... He will remind me to blog when I've not been doing so for a while, or if there's a comment in the guestbook that I should reply to... Maybe that's what the HOD (Head Of Da household) does.... Hahahahaha....
